Buddy has been with KDR several years. He is fostered with Cheryl Parr in Indiana. Such a sweet boy that has so many health issues…he is totally blind, has a heart murmur and is 14 yrs old..He requires special care for his skin, medication and care to get around. He’s a long hair mini dachshund at 9.5 lb…

Scarlett came to KDR in 2021 as a stray in very poor condition. She had ruptured anal glands , was 28 lb and bleeding gums. Discovered later with testing an enlarged gallbladder, Cushings disease and thryoid issues…KDR provided a loving foster home, food, medical treatment in hopes of getting her well enough to have the surgery. She was at Metropoitan vet in emergency after she stopped eating and was diagnosed with kidney failure…She sadly passed leaving a bill of over $2900….but we were glad we did all we could to maintain a quality of life for her

“Maci is an adorable long hair dachshund about 10 lb who came to KDR after back surgery. She then regained her abiltiy to walk for a short time then injured her back again. KDR bought her a wheelchair and she has bladder expressions 4-5 times daily. She has ongoing problems with UTI and requires ongoing meds. She has been diagnosed with a small tumor on the adrenal gland that will need removed…Cost is $3000. Her survival depends on your donations….Please donate.
