Kentucky Dachshund Rescue, Inc. is

 dedicated to providing sanctuary for abandoned or surrendered dachshunds. 

We help save Dachshunds from shelters and owners who can no longer keep their dogs..

1. Rescuing and socializing abandoned, neglected, abused, orphaned and/or surrendered dachshunds and dachshund mixes by providing  safe haven and medical/dental treatments as needed.

2. Ensuring no dachshund shall be used for the purposes of breeding or scientific/medical experimentation.

3. Providing education to the public on the dachshund breed, puppy mills, and responsible pet guardianship including, humane animal care and spay/neuter practices.

4. Displaying courtesy, respect and fellowship toward all volunteers in appreciation of services and support rendered  and  promoting enhanced teamwork among all rescuers.
