Volunteer Opportunities

Below are some of the Roles and Descriptions of Volunteers at KDR

INTAKE COORDINATOR—This person works with shelters and owners to arrange transport to a suitable foster home

TRANSPORT COORDINATOR—This person works closely with the Intake Coordinator to schedule pickup and delivery of pets from shelters /owners and to foster homes.

TRAINING COORDINATOR—This person works with all volunteers, training for specific roles

ADOPTION COORDINATOR - This person works directly with the foster homes to assure there needs are met

FOSTER HOME- Persons in this role care for the intake pets, take pets to vet appts, speak to adopters and have meet n greets

FOLLOW UP COORDINATOR- This person reaches out to adoptive families to check on how pets are thriving in their new environment

REFERENCE COORDINATOR- This person calls the references and vets to qualify adopters for adoption

HOME VISIT COORDINATOR- This person arranges home visits for adopters and volunteers either by in person or virtual arrangement

EVENT COORDINATOR- This person is in charge of fundraising and arranging events to help support the financial needs of the rescue
